This position is for 2nd shift work, starting 3PM to 11PM. This is a firm requirement. Flexible if start time is slightly earlier as needed.
Ideal Fit: • Must work 2nd shift • 2-4 years experience in testing CDMA or other relevant Wireless technologies, WiFi, LTE, WiMax. • Basic Understanding or experience on WiMax and/or LTE is a huge bonus • Knowledge of IS-95, CDMA2000 and 1xEV-DO protocols, with understanding of the standards. • Failure Analysis via logs
Job Duties • Executing and reporting results for Carrier Specific test Plans especially Verizon and Sprint and the ability to interpret and report failures. • Basic Understanding of WiMax, LTE or both is a plus. • Using industry standard test tools, specifically Spirent system, Aeroflex system, Agilent 8960 call box to test various test scenarios. • RF knowledge in IS-98, IS-866 and IS-866A and ability to run Parametric testing both automated and Manual. • Ability to upgrade and maintain lab equipment and also do basic wire routing and equipment maintenance, software upgrades as needed. • Run assigned Automated testing on the Spirent Rack or other lab equipment and meet testing schedule. Ability to keep the test stacks running effectively.
Required Knowledge: • Knowledge of IS-95, CDMA2000 and 1xEV-DO. • Knowledge of Parametric testing specifically IS98, IS866, IS866A. • Failure Analysis via logs and other means to root cause failures in the lab. • Understanding of MIP, Data Retry, system Selection and other Carrier Specific features testing a plus. • Comfortable with usage of test systems – Spirent Stack, 8960 call box, Qualcomm Logging and PST tools. • 2-4 years experience in testing CDMA or other relevant Wireless technologies, WiFi, LTE, WiMax.
Education: Required: Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
