Ideal Fit:
• 2-4 years experience in CDMA testing and Script Automation work in various automation Programming languages e.g. TCL/TK, PERL or any other.
• Experience in testing CDMA or other relevant Wireless technologies, WiFi, LTE, WiMax.
• Basic Understanding or experience on WiMax and/or LTE is a huge bonus
• Knowledge of IS-95, CDMA2000 and 1xEV-DO protocols, with understanding of the standards.
• Failure Analysis via logs
Job Duties
• Executing and reporting results for Carrier Specific test Plans. And ability to interpret and report failures to Internal groups for analysis.
• System knowledge to correlate test plan requirements to CDMA standards to successfully execute carrier test scenarios.
• Ability to understand CDMA requirements and translate these into test cases/plans for automation.
• Using industry standard test tools and software languages such as Perl, TCL, and call boxes such as Anritsu and 8960 call box to automate various test scenarios. The person should be capable of programming in Perl and any other automation language to turn requirements into automated test scenarios.
• Usage of Qualcomm and Call box tools for logging and analysis of failure and success testing scenarios.
• Knowledge of Wireshark and Ethereal to capture and debug failures using PPP logs.
• Preparation and pre-testing of devices for CDG-IOT certification and support of the testing while at the labs.
• Basic Understanding of WiMax and LTE is a plus and automation may extend to making test scenarios in these newer technologies.
Required Knowledge:
• Knowledge of IS-95, CDMA2000 and 1xEV-DO protocols, with understanding of the standards.
• Failure Analysis via logs and other means to root cause failures in the lab.
• Senior position with understanding of Automation requirements, the person should be motivated and a self starter to get the framework of automation going and overcome hurdles to have a fully functional automation framework. They need to be able to make recommendations to move forward and overcome hurdles as they are encountered.
• Comfortable with usage of test systems – Spirent Stack, 8960 call box, Qualcomm Logging and PST tools.
• 2-4 years experience in CDMA testing and Script Automation work in various automation Programming languages e.g. TCL/TK, PERL or any other.
Education:
Required: Bachelor's, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with experience in Test automation work.
